Forest Clearance obtained over an area of 146.726Ha vide MoEF letter No 8-154/97-FC (Vol-II) dated 19.07.2005. Further, The lessee had applied for the diversion for balance area over 81.314 ha vide letter dated 25.04.2014.

Additionally 14 RC drill holes have also been drilled to know the mineralization at depth. During 2017-18, a total of 36 bore holes have been drilled for updating the reserves

4.1 Spoil, overburden or mine wastes Yes 2,978,595.61cum of waste will be generated during plan period, out of which 595719.12 cum will be utilized as minor mineral with permission from DDM, Joda. 595719.12 cum will be utilized for internal haul road maintenance. Balance, 1787157.37cum will be disposed of for dumping at earmarked site. During conceptual period, total waste generated will be 3923475 m3, which will use for road maintenance & back filling.

Earmuffs will be provided to workers in noisy areas.

8.1 From explosions, spillages, fires etc from storage, handling, use or production of hazardous substances Yes During mining operation, the risk of accidents is envisaged during blasting, handling of explosives and HSD etc. Risk control measures will be put in place to avoid any such accidents. The plant will strictly observe Personnel & Safety Rules and Fire Safety Rules from the very inception of plant in operational phases. Besides there will be training of the people involved in the above mentioned activities.
8.2 From any other causes Yes The risk of accidents is envisaged during operations of HEMM, Failure of mine pit slopes, improper storage or handling of fuel oil, transport operations, blasting etc. But operations are and will be strictly governed by Mines Act 1952, MMR 1961 and other rules which are strictly observed. All persons employed are given per employment training under Vocational Training Rules.
