The proposed project is for further expansion and development of food park. Yes Two (2) Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs), one with a treatment capacity of up to 1,000 KLD (Phase-1) and another with a treatment capacity of up to 500 KLD (Phsae – 2) have been proposed within the Mega Food Park to treat the effluent generated. It is proposed to establish an STP(s) with a treatment capacity of up to 200 KLD in phase-wise.

1.17 New road, rail or sea traffic during construction or operation? No A dedicated approach road to the site from SH-7 is proposed to be developed by PWD, Govt. of Karnataka. Necessary internal road network as per IRC: 106-1990 guidelines will be developed within the proposed project for transportation of raw materials / products and other necessary material flow. No rail or water borne transport is envisaged.

Two (2) public roads pass through the proposed land of 275.65 acres (one Zilla Panchayath village road connecting Bannenahalli Village to Ashoknagar (SH-07) and one district PWD road connecting Bookanakere town to Ashoknagar (SH-07)). Public access will not be disturbed in any manner due to the proposed Mega Food Park.

The local hydrology shall be taken into consideration while designing the storm water drains. There are three (3) water bodies situated adjacent to the site and two (2) water bodies present within the site. Sufficient buffer distance (30 m) has been left out all around these water bodies located within the site.

Yes Approval has been obtained from the Water Resources Department, Government of Karnataka for drawing 2,750 KLD (2.75 MLD) of water from Hemavathi River. It is proposed to draw the water from Hemavathi River to the project site through dedicated Pipeline. In addition, groundwater extraction (3 borewells – 2 operational and 1 standby) is proposed as an alternative source.

Vehicular emissions will be controlled by proper maintenance of the vehicle.
5.4 Emissions from construction activities including plant and equipment Yes Fugitive dust emissions CO, HC, SO2 and NOx are expected likely during the construction activities due to use of construction equipment. These are temporary in nature and controlled by regular water sprinkling.
