This restricts stagnation of water or accumulation of water. No occurrence of diseases is anticipated.

Hence no vulnerable group of people is observed within the immediate vicinity or in 1 km area. Thus, no vulnerable groups of people shall be affected by the project.

5.1 Emissions from combustion of fossil fuels from stationary or mobile sources Yes PM, SO2, NOx emissions from Stacks attached to existing 3T Boiler, 2T Boiler (Proposed) and 50 KVA DG sets (Proposed) are envisaged. Wood/Coal/Lignite and HSD will be used in Boiler and DG sets respectively. Multicyclone separator, and wet scrubber with stack height of 30 m shall be installed for dispersion of particulate matter from Boiler. DG set with adequate stack height is proposed.
5.2 Emissions from production processes Yes In plant, expected pollutants are CO2 from Process stacks. The existing process stack of 11 m will vent the CO2 generated from the process. The plant is maintaining all emission norms prescribed by MoEF&CC/HPPCB/CPCB. All vents will be routed through dedicated APCD system. Similarly, all the reaction vessels have been connected with the individual scrubbing system so that any toxic fumes and vapours generated during reaction get neutralised. 5.3 Emissions from materials handling including storage or transport Yes Leak Detection and Repair System has been installed within the facility. Regular maintenance of valves, pumps and other equipment’s is being done to prevent leakage. High efficiency equipment’s have been installed to prevent leakage within the unit. All critical vessels, pumps and reactors which have potential to generate odour have been fitted with mechanical seals to prevent leakage and therefore odour. 7.1 From handling, storage, use or spillage of hazardous materials Yes Occasional & minor oil / chemicals spills may occur. These doesn’t affect water or land because of appropriate flooring & presence of spill control procedures. All applicable precautions are taken in storing and handling of hazardous chemicals. Solid material is stored in bags and Liquid material in stored in drums or storage tanks. Drums and bags are stored in warehouses with RCC non-permeable flooring.
7.2 From discharge of sewage or other effluents to water or the land (expected mode and place of discharge) No Treating the sewage/ effluent as per HPPCB guideline. Domestic Sewage is treated in septic tank and disposed to soak pit. Existing Industrial effluent generated evaporated in the evaporator at site. After proposed expansion the domestic sewage and industrial effluent generated shall be treated in ETP and further sent to Evaporator for further treatment. Condensate shall be reused within unit and solid/salts generated shall be sent to TSDF site for disposal.
7.3 By deposition of pollutants emitted to air into the land or into water No Possible air pollutants are being scrubbed in the plant before emitting into atmosphere. The norms are maintained through regular monitoring and analysis of vent gases. The emission confirms the HPPCB / CPCB norms and same shall be followed after expansion.
