However, a positive change in the land uses due to the proposed project is expected.

5.1 Emissions from combustion of fossil fuels from stationary or mobile sources Yes Coal will be used for power generation. HSD for vehicles and DG sets. Because of inclusion of the said proposal additional 02 numbers major stack will be added. 5.3 Emissions from materials handling including storage or transport Yes Fugitive dust emission will take place from coal handling, and coal stock etc. However, adequate air pollution control measure will be taken. The fugitive emission due to the transportation activities will give rise to increase in Particulate Matter level. The regular water sprinkler and proper mitigating measures will be adopted to minimize them.
5.4 Emissions from construction activities including plant and equipment Yes During the construction phase the emission of dust, particulate matter and gaseous emission will be temporary in nature and confined to the construction area only. This will end with the construction work and installation of plant and machinery completed. Further all the necessary control measures will be undertaken for decreasing the pollution load. Water sprinkling of water will be undertaken at the construction sites for the suppression of fugitive dust.

In this project, noise shall be generated mainly from Fan, Pump, Turbine, Compressor etc. The equipment shall be designed to comply with the stipulated limit of 85 dB(A).
6.3 From construction or demolition Yes There will be generation of noise during construction which is temporary in nature and will be within bearable limit. The effect of noise on nearby habitants will be insignificant. Further noise prone activities will be restricted to a possible extent in order to have minimum noise impact.

Oiling and lubrication of hauling vehicles will be done by using oil tray to prevent spillage on soil. Vehicles and machineries will be well maintained to prevent leakage of oil. The hazardous waste will be handled as per the Hazardous waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 1989 and Amendments thereof. Therefore, there will be no chance of contamination of land or water bodies.
7.2 From discharge of sewage or other effluents to water or the land (expected mode and place of discharge) No All sewage and effluent will be suitably treated and then will be reused. Company is/ will follow “the zero wastewater discharge concept” and the entire wastewater is/will be recycled to the plant for various uses. As no wastewater is/will be discharged outside the plant premises, there is/will be no impact on the water quality of any surface water body of the area. Domestic effluent will be treated in STP and treated effluent will be reused for plantation.
