Particulate matter, Sulphur dioxide and Nitrogen oxides will be the major pollutants. Cyclone separator and Bag Filter are installed to mitigate the emissions. Only “PUC” vehicles will be allowed for raw material & products transportation.

This will be controlled by suitable APC’s like Cyclone separator and Bag Filter with smoke hood and ID /FD fan connected to 30 m height of chimney.
5.3 Emissions from materials handling including storage or transport Yes The material handling including storage and transportation may contribute to fugitive emissions. The materials will be stored under shed. To control the fugitive emissions for proposed expansion, following measures will be adopted:- • Storage and material handling will be carried out in closed trucks. • In plant training will be provided to the plant personnel on operation and maintenance of Bag Filter, Cyclone separator and wet scrubber. • Water spraying will be adopted in dust prone areas
5.4 Emissions from construction activities including plant and equipment Yes Fugitive dusts from various activities of construction & plying of vehicles are expected, which will be temporary in nature.
5.5 Dust or odours from handling of materials including construction materials, sewage and waste No Construction phase:- During the construction of plant area, dust will become air borne Adequate precautions shall be taken to reduce these impacts on construction workers and the surrounding environment. PUC checked vehicle will be used for transportation purposes.

1.NAAfter detailed deliberations the committee advised to submit the revised layout showing the details of internal roads suitable for movement of fire tender and ambulances in case of emergency, storage yard, parking, etc. The configuration Induction Furnaces may be explored to plan for bigger size of IF i.e. 4X10 T in place of 3X6 T+ 3X10 T Induction Furnaces. Therefore, the proposal is deferred for additional information 29 Nov 2018
