Coal dust will be sold to brick manufacturer. SMS slag will be used in road making as well as in filling the low level areas of the plant. Fly and bottom ash from AFBC Boiler will partly be disposed off to Brick Manufacturing Units and partly in the designated dumping yard . Ferro Chrome slag will be used in road making after TELP test. FeMn slag will be reused in SiMn production.
1.16 Facilities for long term housing of operational workers? Yes Presently, we have 16 (sixteen) numbers of flats and 8 (eight) numbers of bungalows in the vicinity. Besides we have got 100 bedded bachelor hostel inside the Company premises.

Yes New Railway siding has been constructed for transport of raw material and finished product. However, new internal road shall be made. The existing road in the vicinity shall be used to some extent.

Permission for drawl of 4.41 cusecs or say 450 M3 /hr water from Hirakud Reservoir has already been allocated by Water Resources Dept. Govt. Of Odisha vide letter no. 13667/WR dated 05/06/2014. Further, ground water drawl permission for abstract of 1820 m3/day has been obtained from Central Ground Water Authority, Ministry of Water Resources, Govt. of India vide letter no. 21-4(65)/CGWA/SER/20
1.24 Changes in water bodies or the land surface affecting drainage or run-off? No There is provision of Storm run-off drain inside the factory premises with facilities of settling tanks and recharge wells.
