This entire land is a flat terrain. There would be no change in land use pattern since it is a proposed expansion project that would be undertaken in existing factory area.

Mostly, the infrastructure of existing factory unit would be used. Only few equipments & machineries as required would be installed in existing factory unit. While in distillery unit the existing set-up shall be revamped by using equipments & machineries of latest technology. Industry has already taken initiative towards green belt development in Industry premises.

1.4 Pre-construction investigations e.g. bore houses, soil testing? Yes Soil is observed to be slight reddish brown to dark brown in colour with fairly good drainage. It is clay loam in texture, fine in structure and alkaline in reaction. Detailed Soil Testing of the industrial premises as well as 10 KM area surrounding the project site would be done in order to assess the existing soil quality. The results of same would also be reflected in final EIA report.
1.5 Construction works? No No major construction would be done since most of infrastructure would be used from existing unit like Admin Building, Common Utility, Canteen, Mill House, Evaporator House etc. In existing premises, equipments and machineries as required for proposed expansion unit would be installed.

1.14 Facilities for storage of goods or materials? Yes For the storage of sugar, godowns are provided on site while that of molasses and rectified spirit also storage tanks have been provided. Additional storage arrangement shall be done after expansion activities in sugar, distillery and Co-gen unit. These proposed storage arrangement shall be done on land area which is already reserved for storage activities in the premises. Hence, there shall not be any impact on existing topography, landuse. Under expansion, Spentwash from distillery shall be treated in biomethanation plant followed by MEE. Other effluents from distillery shall be forwarded to sugar factory ETP. Domestic effluent shall be treated in proposed STP.
