Dumping is done by retreating method and stabilization is done by coir matting/plantation. Domestic waste water is treated in Sewage Treatment Plant of 100 KLD Workshop effluent is generated and is treated for Oil removal. The total water is reused for greenbelt, dust suppression and ore beneficiation plant.
1.16 Facilities for long term housing of operational workers? Yes Residential colony with 783 houses is exists. Colony of SMIORE is located within the mining complex at Deogiri and Subrayanahalli camps. All the necessary infrastructure facilities such as School, Occupational Health Center, Park and Playground, Temple, Commercial Complex, etc., are provided in the colony. Additional houses of 200 are proposed for the enhancement production in the same camps.
1.17 New road, rail or sea traffic during construction or operation? Yes Downhill conveyor system of 300 Tonnes per hour capacity is proposed from Mine to the nearest railway siding over a length of about 1.2km.
