More so this is an existing lease and mine is in operation most of the lease area is already broken and there are changes in the ground profile. Initially, 103.73 Ha of forest land was diverted under Section (2) of Forest Conservation Act, 1980, for mining and allied mining activities in which 99.23 Ha is for mining, 2.5 Ha for road & 2.0 Ha for office and auxiliary activities.

Indeed safety of the mine and the employees is taken care as per the Mines Act 1952 and the rules and regulations made under this act. However, Disaster Management Plan (DMP) and Emergency Preparedness are in place to handle any fires incidences.
