This includes development and extraction of Iron ore, creation of haul roads, dumps, Infrastructure, reclamation and rehabilitation.

It will be seen that except 8.069 Ha, all the land i. e. 339.151 ha is broken against the lease area granted. This will be reclaimed as per approved Mine Closer Plan.

With Down Hill Conveyor system installed, no dumpers come to the screening plant. After Crushing & screening, two sizes of ore namely -35 mm to + 10 mm and -10 mm before dispatch to the costumers.

The remaining over burden will be taken to over burden dumps 2,3 & 6 and backfilled in North block. There are no liquid effluents.

1.17 New road, rail or sea traffic during construction or operation? No A part of the Ore is transported to the railway siding near the Vyasanakere railway station. A part of dispatches are taken nearby consumers by road.

No Iron Ore is transported from the mine through network of existing roads. Major parts of the dispatches are through railway siding near Vyasanakere Railway station.

Yes Since the mine is located within the Reserved Forest area, there is no question of any development within the forest area, outside the lease. There is a main road and a railway line to the North of the mine area. Further North the tail waters of Tungbhadra Reservoir are also present. However, the Tungbhadra dam is further north to the extent of 10 to 12 km and is not affected.
9.2 Lead to after-use of the site, which could have an impact on the environment Yes Mine is being and will be systematically and scientifically closed as per mine closure plan, as working areas are exhausted of minerals. Since, it is a forest area and afforestation will be carried out in consultation with Forest Department. Hence, after reclamation the environment will be restored and improved.
