Topography of the core zone is flat. The proposed plant is situated adjacent to Saraswati Sugar Mills Limited. Land is already in under possesion of SSM and is non agricultural. After installation of the plant, about 33% of the total project area will be covered under green belt/ plantation, which will contribute to increase the aesthetic beauty of the area and reduction of pollution.
1.2 Clearance of existing land, vegetation and buildings? No The proposed project site is flat and no leveling of ground will be required. Only some shrubs and will need to be cleared.
1.3 Creation of new land uses? No Proposed land is already having industrial builtup land use. It is proposed to develop ~33 % of the total project area under green belt/ plantation, which will contribute to the aesthetic beauty of the area and reduction in pollution.

5.1 Emissions from combustion of fossil fuels from stationary or mobile sources Yes No fossil fuel will be used as fuel in the proposed industry. Emission from fuel (Bagasse + SLOP/ Bagasse) burning, which consists of pollutants like PM, would be discharged into atmosphere through APCS/ stacks of suitable height. The emissions will be limited & mitigation measures will be taken for the proposed plant.

5.3 Emissions from materials handling including storage or transport Yes Dust generated near raw material handling and transfer points will prevented by suppression through water. Hence there will not be any fugitive dust emissions due to raw material handling. Proposed road will be capable of absorbing this additional traffic. Hence there will not be any adverse effect due to transportation and Storage of raw materials.
5.4 Emissions from construction activities including plant and equipment Yes The emissions are negligible which will be only due to transportation activities. The construction activities will also involve negligible emissions, as most of the work will be of fabrication and erection of structures only and mitigation measures would be taken to reduce it further.
5.5 Dust or odours from handling of materials including construction materials, sewage and waste Yes During loading & unloading of raw material dust is likely to be generated during construction phase. Water will be sprinkled and covers will be provided for construction materials to reduce dust emission. Odour problems will be controlled at source by good operational practices, including physical and management control measures.
