Yes Waste Water: Waste water generated during operation phase will be treated in STP & treated water will be used for flushing, horticulture and HVAC & DG cooling purpose. No During Construction phase: The workers during construction phase shall be hired from nearby areas by construction contractor and hence there is no need of providing long term housing. Pipelines for water supply is proposed and will be connected through existing pipelines of water supply and also sewerage line will be connected to the proposed STP within project premises.

Land Surface Run-off: The land surface affecting the drainage will be altered (retaining the same direction - though slope will be made gentle), however the impact will be confined to the site. There will be increase in total surface run-off during post construction phase, which will be capturing through well designed storm-water pipe network of rain-water harvesting and will be used for recharge of the aquifers.
1.25 Transport of personnel or materials for construction, operation or decommissioning? No Construction Phase - Contractor will arrange for labor and workmen with their transport.

2.1 Land especially undeveloped or agricultural land (ha) No The land is a part of existing Airport. The area earmarked for the proposed extension of terminal building is about 17,035 m2, for Apron (including Shoulder, GSE & Shoulder converted to apron) is 34,940 m2 and for construction of Parallel Taxi Track (including Shoulder) is 91535 m2 within the existing airport premises.

Out of which 301 KLD will be fresh water and 230 KLD will be recycled/treated water. The water requirement for Landscaping, HVAC & DG cooling will be about 250 KLD (treated water) and the same will be supplied by Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) water supply
2.3 Minerals (MT) Yes Cement, bricks, aggregate and sand will be required for construction of the proposed development.
2.4 Construction material – stone, aggregates, sand / soil (expected source – MT) Yes The major materials required for construction of the project are steel, tiles, glass, cement, agate, bricks, flooring tiles / stones, sanitary and hardware items, electrical fittings, etc.

5.4 Emissions from construction activities including plant and equipment Yes Emissions will be low in magnitude, temporary in nature and reversible. Sprinkling of water will be practices daily and before entry of trucks bringing in materials during construction phase.

These emissions are neutral in nature and will be settled in the immediate vicinity hence no impact is anticipated. During operation, DG set emissions stack will be provided as per CPCB guideline.
