CPP Process involves - Burning of fuel in Boiler (AFBC), Air Cooled condensing system, Steam formation and Power generation in Turbine. WHRS has also been proposed to use waste heat from Pre-heater and Kiln.

Nearest town Tilda is about 19 km from the project site; employees may also be accommodated there. Transport and other facilities will be provided by the company.

Yes Transportation of raw materials and finished product during construction and operation phase will be done by road and railway and conveyer belt, therefore road & rail traffic will be increased. Also, railway siding will be developed as Kharsia - Durg railway Corridor proposed by Chhattisgarh Railway Corporation limited (CRCL).
1.18 New road, rail, air water borne or other transport infrastructure including new or altered routes and stations, ports, airports etc? Yes No major construction is involved as Tilda - Simga Highway is about 0.15 km from the site and an approach road will be required to connect the same. However, also a newly proposed Kharsia to Durg Railway Corridor to cater to the coal and cement/clinker belts by Chhattisgarh Railway Corporation Ltd., will be passing near to the eastern boundary of proposed project site and railway siding will be taken from the same.
1.19 Closure or diversion of existing transport routes or infrastructure leading to changes in traffic movements? No No closure or diversion of existing transport routes or infrastructure leading to changes in traffic movements will be required.
1.20 New or diverted transmission lines or pipelines? Yes New transmission lines will be constructed to source power from Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board (CSEB) 132 KVA substation. Currently, Tulsi (Tilda) Sub-Station (132 KVA) is operational and is located at aerial distance of ~16.5 km. However, another Sub-Station (132 KVA) of CSEB is also proposed at Kharora at aerial distance of about 2 to 3 km from the project site. Power may be sourced from either of the two.
1.21 Impoundment, damming, culverting, realignment or other changes to the hydrology of watercourses or aquifers? No Impoundment, damming, culverting, realignment or other changes to the hydrology of watercourses or aquifers is not envisaged. There is a man-made private water reservoir created for agriculture use near the northern boundary.

5.3 Emissions from materials handling including storage or transport Yes In the cement plant, due to materials handling & storage or transportation activity & vehicular movements, fugitive emissions will be generated. Bag Filters will be installed at all material handling and feeding points. Covered storage facilities will be provided for raw material & finished products. Road sweeping machines will be used for cleaning of paved roads and proper house-keeping will be maintained to control fugitive dust emissions. All transportation vehicles will be PUC certified.
5.4 Emissions from construction activities including plant and equipment Yes Fugitive dust emissions are likely to be generated from construction activities and vehicular movements. These emissions will be temporary and will be controlled by water spraying.

Domestic wastewater will be treated in STP and treated water will be utilized for greenbelt development / plantation and dust suppression. Waste water from CPP & RO reject will be treated in ETP and treated water will be used for landscaping, cleaning, ash cooling, clinker cooling and dust suppression.
7.3 By deposition of pollutants emitted to air into the land or into water Yes There is likely hood of increase of air emissions. But proper mitigation measures such as installation of pollution control equipment, greenbelt development, regular dust suppression by sprinkling water will help in reducing the effect. However, periodical monitoring will be done in addition to continuous online stack monitoring & continuous ambient air quality monitoring and results will be analyzed. In case any change shows adverse effects, it will be attended for improvements.

Proper maintenance, operation and leakage proof condition of machineries will eliminate the possibilities of fire. DMG explored the area and auctioned the block for captive cement plant.
