(1.)EnvironmentalIndustry shall adopt the rain water harvesting systems that will improve the ground water table in surrounding area. Augmentation of existing green belt and plantation of additional trees in the industrial area and its surrounding shall help in improving the aesthetic beauty of the surrounding environment giving a pleasant look and improvising the air quality. Also green belt will help in arresting dust emissions as well as noise.
(2.)SocialAbout 625 skilled and 164 unskilled workers are working under existing sugar, cogeneration & distillery unit. Moreover, 20 skilled and unskilled workers will be appointed from local area as well as from outside after commissioning of the project. Preference will be is given to persons from local area thereby creating better employment opportunities
(3.)Financial• Due to proposed expansion project, the frequency of the local transportation will increase in this area. This will help shorten the time reaching destination and utilize it for some fruitful productive work. • Due to distillery expansion project, the industry will meet the national interest of economical growth through sustainable development, as alcohol has been a great source of revenue through excise duty levied by the Government.

5.NAThe competent authority in the Ministry has approved the Environmental Clearance proposal of M/s Chidanand Basaprabhu Kore Sahakari Sakkare Karkhane Niyamit, for Expansion of molasses based distillery from 30 KLPD to 110 KLPD, located at S. No. 184, 185, 186, 455, 456, 621, 626, 627, 631,Village NanadiKerur, Chikodi, Belgaum, Karnataka. The authority also directed that EC issued only after transfer of EC is executed. 2. In view of the above the undersigned is directed to request the PP to submit the copy of transfer of EC letter for further necessary action. 01 Feb 2021
