Accordingly, now, only projects in respect of off-shore and onshore oil and gas development and production except exploration, are listed at Category A, requiring appraisal at the Central by the Expert Appraisal Committee.
The EAC also noted that the Early Production Unit (EPU) / Quick Production Unit (QPU) is associated facility of exploration and appraisal and may not be considered for development and production.
