(1.) | Environmental | Proposed Singrauli STPP Stage-III (2x800 MW) will have state of art Super Critical Technology which has better efficiency and less carbon emissions in comparison to sub-critical technology. Air Cooled Condensers (ACC) technology will reduce the water consumption more than 50% wet cooling tower system. These new technologies will help in conservation of natural resources like coal and water. Installation of High efficiency ESP, FGD and De-Nox System will comply the emission norms of MOEF&CC and r | (2.) | Social | The setting up of the proposed project will lead to direct and indirect benefits to the overall socio-economic development of the region. | (3.) | Financial | Establishment of large developmental projects improve the availability of the physical infrastructure (like approach roads, drainage, communication and transportation facilities etc.) and social infrastructures (like education and health care system). These will also benefit the local population. NTPC has taken up several community welfare and community development activities under Corporate Social Responsibility and this will be strengthened during commissioning of Singrauli STPP Stage-III. | |
