(1.)Social- Direct employment opportunities for 500 members during peak construction phase & 350 during non-peak activities and 20 members during the operation phase of the project. - Indirect labor opportunities will be substantially improved since larger area will be brought under Irrigation - This project will be helpful for the drought prone upland areas of Adilabad district and improves the economic status and quality of life of the people.
(2.)Financial- The project is targeted to Develop Culturable Command Area (CCA) of 6677.00 Ha and Gross Command Are (GCA) of 10442.913 Ha. Expecting the incremental growth of Agricultural production resulting in improved economy of the region. - There will be substantial increase in the land prices thereby improving the economy of the region. - Improved agricultural production leads to establishment of the food processing units thereby improving the economy of the region.
(3.)Environmental- The project would result in a number of positive permanent impacts like availability of irrigation water, drinking water and rising of ground water table - Provision of drinking water made to 18 villages of command area as well for en routing villages which will definitely improve the health condition of the villagers in the project influence area

2.NAThe EAC in its 27th meeting held on 23.09.2019 recommended the proposal for grant of Environmental clearance with the following additional conditions: i. From .kml file, it has been found that some forestland is involved in the state of Maharashtra. Therefore, Stage I Forest Clearance shall be submitted to the Ministry before the issuance of Environmental Clearance to the project. ii. As the Tippeshwar wildlife Sanctuary is located within 10 km away from the project boundary, NBWL clearance shall be obtained. iii. Necessary permission to be obtained for quarrying construction materials for the project as per the EIA Notification, 2006 and subsequent amendments thereof. iv. Solid waste generated, especially plastic waste, etc. should not be disposed of as landfill material. It should be treated with scientific approach and recycled. Use of single-use plastics may be discouraged. v. The project proponent shall comply with the provisions contained in this Ministry's OM No. 22-65/2017-IA.III dated 1st May, 2018 regarding Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER). Under CER activities, preference should be given to strengthen the basic amenities in the project affected villages like maintaining drinking water supply, providing health care facilities, etc. vi. Preference to be given to the local villagers as per the requirements and suitability,in the job/ other opportunities in the project, etc. vii. Measures to be taken to develop skills of the local villagers particularly with respect to the trades related to construction works such as electrician, welder, fitter, etc. viii. Land acquired for the project shall be suitably compensated in accordance with the law of the land with the prevailing guidelines. Private land shall be acquired as per provisions of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. From the above, it is clear that PP had to submit the copy of Stage-I FC for the forest land involved in the project. The same is till awaited. The requisite document may be furnished at the earliest so as to process the matter in the Ministry. 10 Mar 2022

6.NAProposal is listed in the 27th EAC meeting to be held on 23.09.2019 for reconsideration on the recommendations of the EAC and further deliberation on the PIL 105 of 2018 filed before the Hon’ble High Court of Bombay at Nagpur Bench challenging illegal construction activities carried out in Eco Sensitive Zone, forest land issue, NOC from the States. PP alongwith the consultant is required to attend the meeting on the scheduled date. 18 Sep 2019
