    33.         Project Benefits
S. No.Type of Project Benefits Details of Project Benefits
(1.)SocialDuring construction phase this project will provide temporary employment to many unskilled and semi-skilled labourers in nearby villages. The proposed project will provide employment to about 2000 – 3000 persons on average per day. This project will also help in generation of indirect employment to those people who render their services for the personnel directly working in the project; and during operational phase, considerable number of people will be benefited by provision of various services
(2.)EnvironmentalThe proposed project would have few impacts on the environment. However, with proper and judicious implementation of the mitigation and environment management measures, the impacts can be minimized and can be maintained well within the permissible limits specified by the regulatory authorities Thus, it can be concluded that with the implementation of the pollution control and mitigation measures, with proper environment management system inplace, there will be insignificant impact on environment
(3.)FinancialThe proposed copper refinery project of AEL is a one of the important projects. AEL believes that the copper refinery project would add significant value to Indian economy. The project will not only help ensuring by becoming self-sufficient in terms of copper, phosphoric acid and sulphuric acid for India but will also drive macroeconomic growth. The copper smelter project would create substantial amount of tax revenue for India over 25 years of project life.
