3.NAIn similar proposals, the EAC in its meeting held on 18th June,2020 has already noted that those proposals submitted for onshore oil and Gas exploration and appraisal are now covered as B2 projects in view of the Ministry Notification S.O. 236(E) dated 16th January, 2020. Accordingly, now, only projects in respect of off-shore and onshore oil and gas development and production except exploration, are listed at Category A, requiring appraisal at the Central by the Expert Appraisal Committee. The EAC also noted that the Early Production Unit (EPU) / Quick Production Unit (QPU) is associated facility of exploration and appraisal and may not be considered for development and production. The EAC has taken decision and suggested the project proponent in similar cases to apply at SEIAA for consideration of project under B2 category. 29 Jun 2020
